Sónia Nóbrega appointed acting head of the Incentive Systems Division
Senior officer Sónia Patrícia Freitas Nóbrega has been appointed, on an acting basis, head of the Incentive Systems Division of the Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development. The appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
Order No. 387/2026 appoints Sónia Patrícia Freitas Nóbrega, on an acting basis, to the post of head of the Incentive Systems Division of the Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development, which is part of the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture and Fisheries. The appointment takes effect on 1 October 2026.
The vacancy arose after the commission of service of the previous postholder, Manuel José Faria de Aguiar, ended on 13 July 2026. He was appointed director of Direct Aid Services. The order cites the need to ensure the division continues to operate as the reason for the acting appointment.
The division’s responsibilities include managing the European Union’s direct financial support schemes for the agricultural and agri-food sectors, coordinating applications for aid, and supporting the POSEI sub-programme - specific measures in favour of local agricultural production (MAPL). The division also disseminates information about aid, supports training for those involved in processing applications, and maintains the operational capacity of the Parcel Identification System (iSIP).
Sónia Patrícia Freitas Nóbrega holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering, specialising in Production, and has worked since 2004 in roles related to managing applications for European support for agricultural and agri-food activities.
