Two New Directors Appointed to Regional Social Equipment Directorate
The Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure has appointed two civil engineers to intermediate management positions in the recently restructured Regional Directorate for Social Equipment and Conservation.
Two orders published in JORAM establish the appointment, on a one-year service commission basis, of two new service directors for the Regional Directorate for Social Equipment and Conservation (DRESC). The appointments follow the new internal organization of DRESC, approved by Ordinance No. 305/2026.
- Lúcia Mariana Rodrigues Alves was appointed, through Order No. 299/2026, to the position of Director of Inspection and Hydraulics Services. The civil engineer, a Senior Technician at the Regional Secretariat for Equipment and Infrastructure, takes office effective July 13, 2026.
- Renato Miguel Loja e Silva de Nóbrega was appointed, through Order No. 300/2026, to the position of Director of Conservation and Efficiency Services. The civil engineer, a Senior Technician at the Funchal City Council, also takes office on July 13, 2026.
Both positions are first-level intermediate management roles and were vacant. The appointments are for a duration of one year.

The €60,000 cost of legal representation for the Region and legal support in a court case has been rescheduled again. The order allocates €52,250 to 2027, alongside amounts assigned to 2016 and 2023.
