The Regional Government Council has appointed representatives of Madeiran communities in eleven countries and regions to the Madeiran Diaspora Council.
The Regional Government of Madeira has appointed the members of the Madeiran Diaspora Council, a consultative body aimed at ensuring the active involvement of Madeiran communities spread across the world in defining regional migration policy. The appointment was made through Resolution of the Regional Government Council No. 728/2026, of July 11.
The Madeiran Diaspora Council is composed of full councillors designated to represent the communities in various geographical zones. The Regional Directorate for Communities and External Cooperation was mandated to ensure logistical support for the Council's meetings.

The resolution also determines that expenses for logistical support have a specific budgetary allocation in the Regional Secretariat for Finance.
The renewal of the service commission for Maria Teresa Brazão as Director of the Environmental Inspection and Legal Action Unit has been authorized.
