The Cooperativa de Criadores de Gado das Serras da Freguesia da Calheta, Arco da Calheta, Canhas, Ponta do Sol e Canhas, C.R.Lda. will receive financial support for its activities in 2026.
The Regional Government has approved the signing of a program contract with the Cooperativa de Criadores de Gado das Serras da Freguesia da Calheta, Arco da Calheta, Canhas, Ponta do Sol e Canhas, C.R.Lda., granting it a financial contribution of up to €10,000.00. The measure is included in Regional Government Council Resolution No. 741/2026.
The support is intended to finance the cooperative's activities in 2026, with retroactive effect from January 1st. Cattle breeders' cooperatives and associations are considered essential to promote orderly and controlled grazing, environmental awareness, and proper animal husbandry, contributing to the valorisation of natural resources and Madeira's gastronomic tradition.
The program contract is effective until December 31, 2026.
