The Regional Government has created, through Resolution no. 224/2026, the "Strategy Office for People with Disabilities" (GEPD). This mission structure, under the supervision of the Regional Secretariat for Inclusion, Labour and Youth, aims to promote the strategic coordination of public policies aimed at full inclusion.
The GEPD will have a two-year mandate and its main functions include:
The structure will be composed of a President (with the status of 1st-degree senior management) and a Secretary, working in close coordination with various regional bodies.

The Regional Government has authorized the leasing of facilities for the SMD on Rua Nova de Sao Pedro, aiming to reorganize government services.
