The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized the free, precarious transfer of parts of the former Carmo Health Center to ACAPORAMA.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 218/2026, the Madeiran executive approved the transfer, on a precarious and free basis, of autonomous units AT, AU, and AJ, located on the 1st floor of the former Carmo Health Center building, in the Serrado do Mar Housing Complex, in Câmara de Lobos.
The transfer, which covers a total area of 261m2, is intended for ACAPORAMA - Association of the People's Houses of Madeira, a non-profit public utility association. The property, owned by the Autonomous Region of Madeira, will be used for the association's activities, which include consulting, technical support, and the development of cultural, recreational, and social projects.
The Regional Government has approved a new extension of the transitional period for the age limit of taxi vehicles, with new deadlines extending until 2030, citing difficulties in the automotive sector.
Regional regulatory decree approves a special regime for controlling works and activities in an area of Amparo, São Martinho, for two years, to safeguard future affordable housing projects.
