Regional Government delegates powers to the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation

Through Deliberation no. 6/2026, the Board of Directors of the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation, IP-RAM (IFCN), has established a new structure for the delegation of powers. The objective is to reduce decision-making circuits and promote faster management, covering various functional areas and managers.

Main delegations:

  • President of the Board of Directors (Manuel António Marques Madama de Sousa Filipe): Coordination of areas such as Human Resources (excluding salaries), Forest Management, Green Spaces, Infrastructure, and Information Systems.
  • Board Member (Paulo Jorge dos Santos Gomes Oliveira): Coordination of the Nature Conservation Services Directorate, Legal Office, fleet management, vessels, and equipment.
  • Board Member (Sandra Fabrícia Tavares Teixeira): Coordination of the Planning and Coordination Services Directorate, Financial Services and Contracting Directorate, and administrative management.

The deliberation also includes specific delegations to service directors for forestry licensing, nature conservation, and recreational-sports activities in protected areas, with retroactive effects to January 9, 2026.
