The second edition of 'São Roque Classic Show - Roots and Wheels' receives three thousand euros in support from the Madeira Regional Government.
The Regional Government will support the "II São Roque Classic Show - Roots and Wheels" meeting, an initiative that combines a classic car exhibition with the promotion of local products. The event is scheduled for September 19 and is organized by the São Roque People's House.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 856/2026, the signing of a development and cooperation agreement within the scope of tourism promotion has been authorized. The São Roque People's House has been granted a financial contribution not exceeding €3,000.00 (three thousand euros).
The event aims to culturally, socially, and economically energize the parish of São Roque, valuing rural traditions and promoting automotive heritage. The agreement will be effective from the date of its signature until December 30, 2026.
Ordinance No. 595/2026 sets out the requirements for classifying hiking trails, the documents required for applications, and rules on signage, maintenance and safety. It enters into force on the working day after publication and repeals Joint Order No. 74/2019.
An order authorises the allocation of €2,697,947.28, plus VAT, for decorative lighting services at the Christmas, New Year and Carnival celebrations, as well as the Regional Trade Christmas initiative. The expenditure will be spread across 2026, 2027 and 2028.
The Regional Government approved grants of up to €6,000 for MARIOFA - Festival of Puppetry and Other Animated Forms, and up to €60,000 for the EHF Champions Cup 2026. The agreements support events planned for Funchal, Calheta and Porto Santo.
