The Regional Government Council has authorized financial support for the Vespas Maradas Association for the 'Madeira a Vespar 2026' event.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 574/2026, the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Vespas Maradas Association was authorized. The financial support, which will not exceed €7,000.00, is intended for the execution of the 'Madeira a Vespar 2026' project, taking place between October 3rd and 5th.
The Executive justifies the decision based on the strategic interest of the event, which promotes the decentralization of tourism offerings, the revitalization of local commerce, and the mitigation of seasonality, while also aligning with environmental responsibility principles through carbon footprint compensation actions.
The Regional Government will financially support the "2026 Grape Harvest Festival" and the "XIX Super Trial São Vicente Madeira", two events that are part of the region's tourism promotion calendar.
The Madeira Regional Sailing Association will organize two nautical events in September and October, with regional financial support that can reach 76,250 euros.
The official plan for the installation of fireworks launch sites in Madeira and Porto Santo for the New Year's Eve celebrations has been approved.
