The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized a cooperation protocol with the Retoica association to boost eight cultural and tourism projects throughout 2026.
The Regional Government Council approved, through Resolution no. 466/2026, the signing of a development and cooperation protocol with Retoica - Cultural, Sports and Recreational Association. The financial support, which amounts to a maximum of €39,474.97, aims to execute a set of initiatives integrated into the main events of the regional tourism calendar.
The project covers the following initiatives, distributed across the Flower Festival, Atlantic Festival, Wine Festival, and Nature Festival events:
The protocol, which remains in effect until December 30, 2026, will be signed by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Director of Tourism, reinforcing the commitment to immersive experiences that value the cultural and natural heritage of the Region.
The official plan for the installation of fireworks launch sites in Madeira and Porto Santo for the New Year's Eve celebrations has been approved.
The Regional Government has appointed a new service director and defined the replacement chain for the Regional Directorate of Tourism.
The 'Eco Rally Madeira 2026' event will receive financial support of up to 70,000 euros from the Regional Government.
