Government invests 287,500 euros in classic car events
The Madeira Classic Car Club receives regional support for five sporting events between May and July 2026.
Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 486/2026, a development and cooperation protocol was authorized with the Madeira Classic Car Club. The financial support, totaling €287,500.00, is intended for five tourism promotion initiatives:
- Madeira Classic Car Revival: €150,000.00
- XXII Rampa dos Barreiros: €15,000.00
- XXXVII Volta à Madeira Classic Rally: €30,000.00
- XII Harvey Foster Classic New Road: €2,500.00
- Clássicos na Magnólia: €90,000.00
The project aims to strengthen Madeira's projection as a tourist destination of excellence and boost the local economy during the execution period, which runs from May to July 2026.
