Government supports cultural and sports projects with 192,000 euros
The Madeiran executive has approved three cooperation protocols for the completion of a film about Santana and the hosting of two international nautical events.
The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized the signing of three development and cooperation protocols, aimed at the cultural and tourism promotion of the Region:
- "Casa Norte" film project: Support for Neblina - Cinema and Audiovisual Association, through Resolution no. 260/2026, with a financial contribution of 12,000.00 € for the post-production of the medium-length film portraying the heritage and traditions of Santana.
- CMAS World Cup - Underwater Photography and Video Championship - Madeira 2026®: Protocol with the Madeira Swimming Association (Resolution no. 262/2026), with support of 90,000.00 € for the event taking place between June 22 and 28.
- MIUS - Madeira Island Ultra Swim® - Porto Santo: Protocol with the Madeira Swimming Association (Resolution no. 263/2026), with support of 90,000.00 € for the open water swimming competition on the island of Porto Santo.
These grants aim to strengthen the cultural offering and affirm Madeira as a destination of excellence for sports and nautical tourism.
