The Union of Merchant Marine, Travel Agencies, Freight Forwarders and Fishing Workers has joined the Portway company agreement, covering about 80 of its members.
An accession agreement was signed and published between Portway - Handling de Portugal, SA and the Union of Merchant Marine, Travel Agencies, Freight Forwarders and Fishing Workers (SIMAMEVIP).
Through this agreement, SIMAMEVIP accepts, without reservations, the applicability of the company agreement previously signed between Portway and other sector unions (SINDAV, SITAVA and STHAA). The accession agreement covers approximately 80 workers affiliated with SIMAMEVIP who are employed by Portway.
The company operates in the air transport auxiliary services sector (CAE 52230). The agreement entered into force the day after its publication in the Boletim do Trabalho e Emprego (Labour and Employment Bulletin).
Four ordinances published in the Official Journal extend the benefits of collective agreements to non-unionized workers in the insurance, publishing, and maritime transport sectors.
