Garouta do Calhau project receives additional funding, bringing total to €2.34 million
Funding for the Quinta da Esperança redevelopment project has increased to €2,346,047.99. The initiative will create 50 new places in day and night care services within residential facilities for older people.
The total funding allocated to project 2630 - Garouta do Calhau Day and Night Centre has increased to €2,346,047.99. The change is set out in Ordinance No. 575/2026 and represents an increase of €14,620.12 over the amount previously authorised.
Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), the investment was contracted between the then SRIC and A.D.C.F. - Funchal Community Development Association. The project involves redeveloping the Quinta da Esperança social care facility and creating 50 new places in night and day care services integrated into residential facilities for older people.
The costs will now be allocated as follows:
- 2023: €303,085.62;
- 2024: €836,515.67;
- 2025: €859,858.29;
- 2026: €346,588.41.
The ordinance amends Ordinance No. 217-A/2023 of 24 March. The previous total of €2,331,427.87 had been retained in the amendment approved by Ordinance No. 199/2024 of 22 May.
Ordinance No. 575/2026 was signed on 29 September and enters into force on the day after its publication.
