The Regional Directorate for Sport has awarded Barreirense Sports Club funding of up to €6,265.04 to take part in regional football and futsal competitions in the 2025/2026 season. Payment depends on submitting eligible expenses and meeting the obligations set out in the agreement.
Barreirense Sports Club may receive up to €6,265.04 from the Regional Directorate for Sport (DRD) to support its participation in regional football and futsal championships or competitions during the 2025/2026 sporting season, which ran from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.
The funding is formalised in the Sports Development Programme Agreement No. 60/2026, published as Agreement No. 314/2026 and approved on 8 October. The entire contribution, up to the maximum amount set, is earmarked for regional competition.
The final amount will be adjusted if the expenses submitted and deemed eligible are below the maximum limit. To receive the funding, the club must submit proof of expenses and sporting indicators, documents concerning its tax and social security status, an up-to-date Central Register of Beneficial Owners, its annual report and accounts, and the activity report for the previous season.
The agreement also requires the club to use public funds rigorously and rationally, while the DRD monitors and audits the financial, technical and legal implementation of the funding. The funds are included in the Regional Directorate for Sport's budget under commitment number CY52607726. The agreement takes effect upon signature and remains in force until 31 December 2026.
