The Regional Government publicly honoured three athletes and their respective clubs and associations for achievements in speed skating, biathle and billiards. The honours were approved by Resolutions No. 925/2026, No. 926/2026 and No. 927/2026.
The Regional Government Council approved three public honours for athletes from Madeira and the sporting organisations they represent, following titles won in national and European competitions. The resolutions were adopted at a plenary meeting on 24 September 2026.
In all three decisions, the Regional Government noted that these results helped enhance the prestige of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The Regional Government has approved three public commendations for international and national results in sailing and speed skating. The honours recognise athletes Paulo Vasco Manso, Francisca Gomes Henriques and António Edgar Martins Freitas, as well as their respective clubs and associations.
The Madeira Institute of Social Security has been authorised to commit €650,530.03, plus VAT, to procure cleaning services in 2027 and 2028. The expenditure covers central and local offices, activity and inclusion training centres, and the Madeira Social Inclusion Centre.
The Regional Government has authorised a programme contract with SANASMADEIRA to ensure the operation of the Coastal Rescue Stations Network in 2026. Funding may reach €68,000, paid in eight monthly instalments of €8,500.
