A.K.R.A.M. receives support for travel to national competitions
The Madeira Autonomous Region Karate Association may receive up to €9,553 to cover travel and daily allowances for sports representatives attending national competitions. The programme contract also requires regional teams to wear kit in the Region’s colours and display the name “Discover Madeira”.
The Regional Directorate for Sport has awarded the A.K.R.A.M. - Madeira Autonomous Region Karate Association financial support of up to €9,553.00 to help cover sports representatives’ travel to national competitions during the 2025/2026 season.
The support is set out in sports development programme contract no. 177/2026, published as Contract no. 311/2026, and is intended to cover travel and daily allowance costs. The amount is divided into €8,024.00 for “Travel to Unspecified National Competition - Clubs” and €1,529.00 for travel by regional teams.
As a promotional commitment, the contract requires regional teams to wear kit in the colours of the Autonomous Region of Madeira and display the name “Discover Madeira”. The actual contribution will be adjusted if the eligible expenses submitted are below the maximum limit.
The contract was signed in Funchal on 11 August 2026 and remains in effect until 31 December 2026. The support falls under the Regional Sports Support Plan for the 2025/2026 season, approved by Ordinance no. 625/2025 of 18 November.
