The Regional Youth Directorate will sign programme-contracts with three Madeiran associations, awarding a total support of 18,000 euros for their activity plans.
The Regional Government has authorised the signing of programme-contracts and the granting of a maximum financial support of €18,000 to three youth and cultural associations in Madeira. The measure, approved by Regional Government Council Resolution No. 819/2026, aims to co-fund the implementation of their activity plans for the year 2026.
The support will be distributed equally among the following entities:
The resolution justifies the need for this support, emphasising that the associations, mostly managed by young people, lack the financial capacity to bear the costs of their activities alone, which take place at regional, national, and European levels. The untimely allocation of the support could jeopardise the implementation of plans already announced.
The programme-contracts are effective until 31 December 2026, with expenses incurred from 1 January 2026 being eligible. The costs are provided for in the budget of the Regional Youth Directorate.
The municipality signed a program contract to financially support the 15th Madalena do Mar Canoe Regatta, organized by the Madeira Regional Canoeing Association.
The Government Council authorized a program-contract to financially support the 2026 activity plan of the Social Solidarity Association Crescer Sem Risco.
The Regional Secretariat for Health and Civil Protection approved the internal redistribution of 420,000 euros in financial support to the Madeira Volunteer Firefighters Humanitarian Association across three support programmes.
