Food Emergency Programme receives 843 thousand euros for eleven institutions
The Regional Government approved financial support of 843,636 euros for eleven partner entities to ensure the continuity of the Food Emergency Programme (PEARAM) during 2026.
The Council of the Regional Government authorised the signing of eleven Cooperation Agreements to finance the Food Emergency Programme in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (PEARAM) in 2026. Through Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026, total financial support of 843,636.00 euros will be allocated to the following eleven partner entities:
- ADENORMA - Association for the Development of the North Coast of Madeira via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €4,040.00
- Associação Santana Cidade Solidária via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €11,700.00
- Causa Social - Association for the Promotion of Citizenship via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €137,525.00
- Social and Parish Centre of Santa Cecília via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €171,964.00
- Social and Parish Centre of Santo António via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €229,946.00
- Social and Parish Centre of São Bento da Ribeira Brava via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €4,510.00
- João Pereira Foundation via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €6,882.00
- Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Calheta via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €21,169.00
- Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Machico via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €82,142.00
- Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santa Cruz via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €32,239.00
- Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Funchal via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 676/2026: €141,519.00
The agreements, under the modality of Eventual Support, take effect from 1 January 2026 and aim to co-finance the programme's operating expenses, which support low-income individuals and families with free meals or food vouchers/cards. The funding will be made available in tranches, according to the needs identified on the ground.
