Regional Government grants support to ten sports associations for travel

The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized sports development program contracts with ten associations to cover travel expenses for the 2025/2026 season.

The Regional Government Council has approved a set of resolutions aimed at supporting sports associations in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. These sports development program contracts (CPDD) are intended to subsidize travel and daily allowance costs for sports agents, coaches, and athletes, which are essential for participation in national and regional championships during the 2025/2026 season (July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026).

The beneficiary entities and their respective support are:

  • Madeira Regional Sailing Association (Resolution no. 433/2026): up to €41,665.22
  • ATMAD - Madeira Tennis Association (Resolution no. 434/2026): up to €22,967.00
  • Machico Sports Association (Resolution no. 439/2026): up to €17,277.00
  • Madeira Karting Association (Resolution no. 438/2026): up to €16,716.00
  • Arca d' Ajuda - Ajuda Recreational and Cultural Association (Resolution no. 436/2026): up to €4,760.00
  • CAMadeira - Madeira Adventure Club (Resolution no. 442/2026): up to €4,448.00
  • Jardim da Serra Cultural and Sports Association (Resolution no. 437/2026): up to €3,336.00
  • AXRAM - Madeira Chess Association (Resolution no. 435/2026): up to €2,590.00
  • Galomar Sports Association (Resolution no. 441/2026): up to €1,390.00
  • Água de Pena Sports and Recreational Association (Resolution no. 440/2026): up to €556.00

These grants, processed by the Regional Directorate of Sports, aim to mitigate the costs added by insularity and ensure the continuity of Madeiran representation in national competitions.
