Regional Government adjusts budget allocations for two major public works
The Regional Government of Madeira has redistributed funds for the rehabilitation of the Caniçal Port and the new Center for Innovation and Digital Skills.
The Regional Government of Madeira has published new ordinances adjusting the financial planning for two strategic infrastructure projects in the Region:
- Rehabilitation of the West Embankment of the Port of Caniçal: Through Ordinance no. 160/2026, the executive branch modified the distribution of budget allocations for this project, which totals 10,266,253.40 €. The financial schedule covers the fiscal years 2023 to 2026, with the expenditure managed by APRAM - Administration of the Ports of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, S.A.
- Public Works Contract for the Center for Innovation and Digital Skills: Ordinance no. 163/2026 formalizes the amendment and redistribution of charges, totaling 1,613,102.21 €. This measure is justified by the need to carry out complementary works not initially foreseen, resulting from errors and omissions in the architecture and specialty projects. The investment is allocated to the Regional Directorate of Public Administration.
