Madeira allocates 3,000 euros for international early childhood education conference
The Autonomous Region of Madeira will financially support the '34th EECERA Annual Conference', one of the world's largest research conferences on early childhood education, taking place in Funchal.
The Regional Government has authorized the signing of a program contract with the Association of Early Childhood Education Professionals (A.P.P.E.I.) to support the hosting of the 34th EECERA (European Early Childhood Education Research Association) Annual Conference. The event will take place in the Autonomous Region of Madeira between August 25 and 28, 2026.
The association will be granted financial support not exceeding 3,000 euros. This funding is intended for costs associated with the use of the Main Auditorium of the Madeira Tecnopolo and the technical conditions required for the event's operation.
The conference, organized in partnership with the University of Madeira, is considered one of the most relevant scientific meetings in the field of early childhood education at the European level, attracting researchers and professionals from dozens of countries. Resolution No. 825/2026 emphasizes the event's importance for the international projection of Madeira in the field of education and research.
