Madeira Government Sets New Maximum Fuel Prices
The Regional Secretariat for Economy and Finance has approved the new maximum public sale prices for gasoline and diesel, effective September 14.
The Regional Government of Madeira has established, through Joint Order No. 84/2026, the new maximum prices at which fuels can be sold to the public in the archipelago. The measure, resulting from the application of Ordinance No. 25/2022, of January 26, enters into force at 00:00 on September 14, 2026.
The approved prices are as follows:
- Unleaded gasoline IO 95: 2.010 euros per liter.
- Road diesel: 2.036 euros per liter.
- Colored and marked diesel: 1.590 euros per liter.
The order was signed by the Regional Secretary for Finance, Duarte Nuno Nunes de Freitas, and the Regional Secretary for Economy, Micaela Cristina Fonseca de Freitas, who signed the document as a substitute.
This periodic update of maximum prices aims to regulate the fuel market in the Autonomous Region, ensuring transparency and cost stability for consumers.
