Government supports four philharmonic concerts by Banda Recreio Camponês in Câmara de Lobos
Banda Recreio Camponês receives 4,000 euros in support to hold four philharmonic music concerts in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos by the end of 2026.
The Regional Government Council has authorised a cultural cooperation protocol with Banda Recreio Camponês, allocating financial support of 4,000 euros for the organisation of four philharmonic music concerts in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos. The protocol, which enters into force on the date of its signing, extends until 31 December 2026.
This initiative, framed within the Region's cultural decentralisation policy, aims to enhance the regional philharmonic scene and bring music to different parishes in the west of Madeira. Resolution No. 823/2026 highlights the association's pivotal role in boosting the cultural offering.
The support was granted under the legal framework system for financial support for projects of cultural interest. The expenditure is provided for in the budget of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture for 2026.
