Government supports two cultural projects with 10,000 euros
The Regional Government Council authorized cultural cooperation agreements for a multidisciplinary exhibition and a concert series, each receiving 5,000 euros in support.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved financial support for two distinct cultural projects, representing a total investment of 10,000 euros. The decisions were made during a plenary meeting of the Government Council on July 9th and published in the Official Journal.
The support is granted through the signing of cultural development and cooperation agreements, as part of the region's policy of decentralization and promotion of cultural offerings. Both agreements are effective until December 31, 2026.
The supported projects are as follows:
- Project "Colours in the Dark" by the Move - Madeira Cultural, Creative and Artistic Association, via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 679/2026. This is a multidisciplinary exhibition bringing together several regional artists, with support not exceeding €5,000.00.
- Project "Plectro a Bec" by musician RICARDO JORGE RIBEIRO MARTINS MOTA, via Regional Government Council Resolution No. 680/2026. It consists of a cycle of five concerts covering musical styles from the 16th to the 21st century, promoting the symbiosis between the mandolin and the recorder. The granted support will also not exceed €5,000.00.
The agreements will be signed by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Director of Culture. The expenses are included in the Region's budget for 2026.
