The Government Council authorized the signing of cultural cooperation agreements with four entities, allocating financial support totalling 18 thousand euros for performances, an album recording, and a festival.
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved a set of financial supports for cultural projects to be carried out during 2026. The decisions, taken at a plenary meeting of the Government Council on July 15, aim to foster artistic creation and cultural decentralisation in the region.
The support was granted through the signing of cultural development and cooperation agreements, effective until December 31, 2026, and totals 18,000 euros. The projects cover areas such as theatre, traditional music, original music, and a multidisciplinary festival.

The agreements will be signed by the Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Director of Culture. The support falls under the cultural policy of the XVI Regional Government, which has as one of its priorities the projection and promotion of culture as an axis for Madeira's development.
The Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have authorized 15,000 euros in support for the Madeira Bridge Association to host the international event in 2026.
The Government Council approved two financial grants of 5,000 euros each for cultural projects: one for the production of a theatre play and another for the operation of a philharmonic band.
Banda Recreio Camponês receives 4,000 euros in support to hold four philharmonic music concerts in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos by the end of 2026.
