Produções Independentes - Associação receives financial support to conduct an artistic residency with a final presentation and exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Madeira.
The Regional Government authorized the signing of a program-contract and the allocation of financial support to Produções Independentes - Associação for the cultural project "breezingSILENCE". The authorization was granted through Resolution No. 709/2026.
The project consists of a site specific and "community-specific" artistic residency, which will culminate in two final presentations and an exhibition in partnership with MUDAS - Museum of Contemporary Art of Madeira, in 2026. The initiative begins in Madeira and will then proceed to other archipelagos of Macaronesia, serving the Region as a pilot territory.
The program-contract is effective from the date of its signing until December 31, 2026. The financial contribution to be granted to the association will not exceed €1,500.00 (one thousand five hundred euros).
The resolution emphasizes that the project contributes to audience development and cultural and artistic decentralization, aligning with the responsibilities of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture in valuing and promoting regional cultural identity.
The Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have authorized 15,000 euros in support for the Madeira Bridge Association to host the international event in 2026.
