The Foco de Imagem Cultural Association will receive financial support to produce and film a movie portraying socio-cultural experiences from the year 2000.
The Regional Government has authorized financial support of up to 10,000 euros for the production of a feature film. Through Resolution of the Regional Government Council No. 678/2026, a cultural development and cooperation protocol will be signed with the Foco de Imagem Cultural and Recreational Association.
The support is intended for the production and filming of the feature film titled "Independent Artist", to be made in 2026. The project, with an expected duration of 60 minutes, aims to take a nostalgic and contemporary journey, documenting and portraying the experiences, social habits, and representative socio-cultural contexts of the year 2000.
The protocol takes effect from the date of its signing until December 31, 2026. The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Director of Culture have been mandated to sign the agreement on behalf of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
The Regional Government Council authorized cultural cooperation agreements for a multidisciplinary exhibition and a concert series, each receiving 5,000 euros in support.
