The Regional Government of Madeira has authorized financial support for two musical associations under the 2026 support program for philharmonic bands, tunas, and folk groups.
The Regional Government Council has approved the signing of program contracts with two musical entities, aiming to compensate for VAT incurred on eligible expenses during 2025. The support, granted under Regional Legislative Decree no. 10/2018/M, is intended to cover costs for the acquisition and maintenance of instruments, uniforms, and consumable materials.
These contracts are valid until December 31, 2026, with the management of the process being the responsibility of the Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture.
The Regional Secretariat for Tourism, Environment and Culture and the Regional Secretariat for Finance have authorized 15,000 euros in support for the Madeira Bridge Association to host the international event in 2026.
The Government Council approved two financial grants of 5,000 euros each for cultural projects: one for the production of a theatre play and another for the operation of a philharmonic band.
Banda Recreio Camponês receives 4,000 euros in support to hold four philharmonic music concerts in the municipality of Câmara de Lobos by the end of 2026.
