Regional Government grants support to five cultural projects in Madeira
The Regional Government of Madeira has approved cooperation protocols with five local entities, representing a total investment of 28,000 euros.
The Regional Government Council has authorized the signing of five cultural development and cooperation protocols, aiming to boost the cultural offering in the Autonomous Region of Madeira throughout 2026. The financial support granted is as follows:
- Cecília Zino Foundation: Support of €2,000.00 for the 'Jovens Talentos FCZ - Artes Visuais' project (Resolution no. 516/2026).
- Raquel Lombardi Cultural and Social Solidarity Association: Support of €6,000.00 for the 8th edition of the 'Madeira International Guitar Festival' (Resolution no. 517/2026).
- AFM - Madeira Fado Association: Support of €7,000.00 for the 3rd edition of the 'Fado à Beira Mar' concert series (Resolution no. 518/2026).
- Islands Musical and Cultural Association: Support of €8,000.00 for the 4th edition of the 'Carvão em Brasa' project (Resolution no. 519/2026).
- Santo António Cultural Center: Support of €5,000.00 for the exchange with the Castelo Branco Folk and Ethnographic Group and participation in the 'Noé Cró - O Acartador de Cestos Folklore Festival' (Resolution no. 520/2026).
All protocols are valid until December 31, 2026, and aim to strengthen regional cultural identity and promote Madeira as a cultural destination.
