The Atlantic Festival 2025 shone in Funchal with a fireworks show by Macedo’s Pirotecnia, themed “Legacy – The Art of Building Futures.” The bay lit up in a moment of great visual impact and emotion.
Extensive Cultural Programming
Throughout June, Madeira and Porto Santo hosted initiatives that went beyond the traditional weekly fireworks, including concerts, exhibitions, multimedia shows, and circus events.
- 27 concerts, highlighted by “Kora – Heart in Fury” from Paradise Circus.
- Opera at Pico, in the Fortress of Pico.
- Decentralized shows at the Quinhentista Market in Machico and São João in Porto Santo.
- Exhibition “Macaronesia 1975-2025. 50 years” at the Photography Museum.
- “Summer Sunset” market at Praça do Povo.
International Fireworks Competition
At the Madeira International Fireworks Competition, the Swiss La Pirotecnica SAGL di Colombo won the favor of the jury and the public, enhancing the global prestige of the event.
Recap and Future
Organized by the Regional Directorate of Tourism, Environment, and Culture, the festival attracted thousands of visitors and stood out as one of the region’s main international cultural events, promoting Madeira as a destination of excellence.
